DO GOOD ANYWAY
One late night, daughter of a bank clerk suddenly felt terribly ill. There was no transportation that night because of public unrest. He went to the house of one auto driver, pleaded with him to take them to a nearby hospital. The auto driver was apprehensive of the situation outside plus his own daughter was also lying on the bed with high fever. But his humanity side triumphed over his fear and finally took them to a hospital. The doctors at the hospital successfully treated his daughter. The bank clerk ran out of words to thank the able doctors but completely forgot to thank the auto driver. In one paragraph of Mother Teresas Do it anyway poem, she said, The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Let the people forget our good work but we shall do our good work anyway (service to mankind and God) because Jesus said in Hebrews 6:10 that He never forgets our work and love shown to Him.
